Setting Up Springs

This tool replaces spring to measure spring height
Each valve is measured seperately.
These heights may vary from valve to valve. 

Also each valve spring is checked for the compressed
height that produces the correct spring pressure desired.
This determines the shims required under each spring.

Spring are also checked for coil bind.
Coil bind is when  spring is compressed until the coils touch each other.

Some springs my have the right seat pressure but coil bind with
valve is fully opened  with high lift cams.
