· Pull knob back allowing °
bushing to be installed over pin in fixture.
· Let point rest against ° bushing
· Rotate ° bushing until dial
indicator reads smallest reading. (thinnest part of bushing as seen in illustration)
· Rotate outer bezel of dial indicator aligning needle with 0.
· Now rotate bushing watching needle of dial indicator move to
highest and lowest reading.
· Lowest reading should always be 0 while rotating bushing.
(Readjust bezel to 0 if it does not return to 0 )
· Light finger pressure may need to be applied to Knob to keep
Point in contact with ° Bushing.
· Rotate bushing to highest reading (thickest part of bushing
)
· Take note of the number
· Cross this number in chart to get amount of timing change
this bushing will produce.
