Lifter Extension  (70160)
Patent Pending

· Install Plate to locate socket above lifter.
· Substitute solid lifter for hydraulic for testing
purposes to insure accuracy.
· Bolt 70170 may need to be substituted with one of
size and thread pitch to match head bolt hole being
used to attach plate 70161 to engine block.
· Spacer 70166 is optional on most engines.
· It is only needed to clear high compression dome type pistons in some mounting positions.
· Some short deck height engines such as small block Ford V-8 need to use spacer.
· Try to install allowing plastic ball to operate in the upper half of the shaft assembly.
Do Not Let Coil Spring Bind
(coils touch each other when compressed)

    Some in line 4 and 6 cylinder engines

   do not require use of plate 70161
